Time has taken the lead
Love was left behind
It was a battle
battle of time against love
and love lost

battle of compromises against emotions
and emotions lost

battle of what is right against what I feel
and feelings lost
battle of the mind against the heart
and the heart lost
Everything I felt was confusion
Everything I felt was confilct
A conflict between my heart and my mind
A conflict between everything we had and everything that you left behind
A conflict between what is right and what was wrong
A conflict so strong
That it took away my strength and my peace
And all that was left was a shattered heart beating in pieces
And I held on to li’ll pieces of what we were
Brought them close
and watched how the sun light shone even through those cracked remnants
of our love
And then I saw Hope
I could see your face in those broken pieces
Even if its broken , it is still capable of reflecting
Even if I’m broken , I’m is still capable of loving
